Pass-A-Grille Boathouse

Located on the main road into town, keeping the historic neighborhood scale was paramount - so we developed a split-level plan. The Key West style helped achieve a more grounded feel while providing deep overhangs for shading and character. Low-maintenance and storm-proof materials and techniques were employed throughout, as were the vernacular proportions and details. With the help of Jeff Wolf Contracting, Inc., the home is certified Energy Star® and GOLD by the Florida Green Building Coalition, and achieves a HERS index of 60. Furthermore, the design was chosen for the AIA's 2009 "40 Under 40" competition and is featured in Bay Magazine's February 2011 issue.
